Abstract
The main purpose of the paper is to develop and than to validate a dynamic model (against experimental results from literature) of CO(2) capture process (both absorption and desorption columns) in alkanolamine-based solutions. The developed model is capable to represent/predict the dynamic behavior of the columns during the operation. It can be evaluated, not only the effect of disturbances on each parts of the process but also the interactions between the absorber and desorber columns. The present mathematical model would be used for analyzing absorption rate and understanding of micro level interaction of various processes taking place inside de absorption/desorption column. Also, model would be used in evaluation of various operation conditions for optimization of technical indicators of carbon dioxide absorption process (e.g. minimizing the heating and cooling requirements for carbon dioxide capture, design the control system of the process).
