Abstract

The harmonic disturbance that is caused by the double line frequency ripple power in the single phase AC/DC or DC/AC system. This issue can be eased through the installation of bulky electrolytic capacitors in the dc-link. Unfortunately, such passive filtering approach may inevitably lead to low power density and limited system lifetime. Symmetrical full-bridge circuit uses dc-link capacitors to absorb the ripple power. In this paper presents a symmetrical full bridge circuit which utilizes the dc-link. Capacitors to absorb the ripple power and the additional pair of switches and a small filtering inductor. By implementing four switches, we can reduce the capacitance as 22 mu f/400volt. Also by the help of PI controller the switching stress reduced with stable DC link voltage. As a result, the objectives of high-efficiency power conversion can be obtained.
